Hey there everyone! Here’s a snapshot about me and the part photography has played in my life…yes pun is completely intended right there.

Photography brings life and excitement to me.  Thinking back to some of the reasons why…. I watched my mom look at me a lot from behind her camera since I was  a kiddo and remember her loving it. I would sit for hours with photo albums open across my lap recalling all the moments that were captured on those pages. I’m such a visual person and looking at those photographs just brought back so many memories.  When my two amazing kids entered this world photography gave me the ability to freeze time as they grow up entirely too fast.  I’ve come to realize capturing those moments to remember forever is simply priceless.

Here’s where you and I come in…I love capturing those moments for others.  I encourage having as much fun as humanly possible! I know… picking out outfits, piling people in the car and making it to a destination on time without your hair and makeup melting can be a little stressful. The struggle is real.  Then,  if you add kiddos to the mix…yowza. But to me, the most amazing photographs are relaxed and candid. To achieve that I enjoy pulling  people out of their shells and watching the beauty of them and them in relationship with others blossom.  My focus for the most part are seniors, couples, family and children, but have done other types of sessions as well. I am always open to a new experience.

As a part of building a relationship with you I think it’s essential to share a little more about me…outside of the realm of photography, you know.

*Before the adventure of mommyhood began, I was a dental hygienist. Yes, I know, completely the opposite end of the spectrum from photography, but I really did enjoy it.

*I was born and raised in New Orleans.  After moving around the last 10 plus years I have come to realize it’s  a different world in south Louisiana. Growing up there has played a part in who I am, and it’s a good thing. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

*I was a ballet dancer for 10 of my younger years of life.

*I use a lot of humor in my approach to life, but from time to time I can get a little serious.

*My two children, who are 10 and 7, are amazing. They challenge me and love me without reservation and for that I am truly blessed.

*I so wanted to be Wonder Woman growing up. I mean come on…she twirled around and turned into this goddess superhero and she drove an invisible jet. What’s not to love.

*What drives me to get up every morning and put one foot in front of the other….my kids.

*I love to travel. I love getting on the road, watching what’s behind me fade in the distance and anticipate the excitement of something new ahead of me.

*I love Disney movies. Just sayin’…they rock.

*I am  artistic  and I am a dreamer.  Sometimes it’s a good thing…sometimes not as much.   Love the quote, “The earth without art is just…eh.”

So…there’s a little about me and my randomness.
